JERUSALEM A DAY TOUR - May 2010
Jerusalem has many faces, there amongst her hills and valleys, are glimpses of different times and different moods. The closer you get to this city, the more of her beauty, you reveal.
The Hurva Synagogue - View from Amon Hanaziv Promenade.
The Hurva synagogue with it's modest white dome, has been now been rebuilt for the 3rd time. It was reopened on March 15 this year.
Initially the Hurva was built by disciples of Rabbi Judah Hahasid in the early 18th century and was destroyed twice. It was last razed by the Jordanian Legions in 1948.

TEL AVIV STREET SCENES - January 2010
This man spends many hours, arms stretched out feeding
the pigeons..He has his home here in Shapira, Tel Aviv.
The neighborhood of the central bus station.
Tough place.
Here my mother grew up in the years prior to 1948.
Today, this is where the whores trade and the
people from Africa find refuge. Low rent land, where the drug
runners find their victims on their make shift beds
on the pavements.
